The slide tackle is, of course, one of the most familiar moves you'll see. This is when a player tries to nick the ball from you by sliding along the ground. When you're in possession of the ball, it's difficult to get out of the way and dodge your sliding opponent's tackle. Okay, what do you need to do for a Blanco Hop? First, you must have complete control of the ball - just hit L1 to halt with the ball stationary by your feet. Wait while the other player runs in and begins to start their slide tackle, then press down the L2 button (left trigger). While keeping it pressed, then move the right thumb stick - with ease, you'll flick the ball up and hop (hence the Blanco Hop) over the oncoming opponent. On screen, you'll look like you stumble slightly. Don't worry, though - you're on your feet and your opponent is on the ground! You'll have a nice healthy lead by the time the other player gets up.
